Who I work with
My History
Physiotherapy Practice (Germany, 7 years):
I worked extensively in post-injury and post-surgery rehabilitation, supporting patients through every stage of their recovery. During this time, I deepened my expertise with advanced techniques such as Manual Therapy, Cranio-Mandibular Therapy, Dry Needling, and Ear Acupuncture. I also completed and passed the German State Exam as a Heilpraktiker (Naturopathic Practitioner), giving me a holistic perspective on treatment.
Sports & Massage Therapy (South Africa – Plettenberg Bay & Cape Town, 11 years):
For over a decade, I have run my own practice focusing on advanced massage therapy, sports therapy, and injury prevention. I worked closely with athletes on maintenance, race preparation, and post-event recovery, ensuring their bodies could perform at their best while reducing the risk of injuries.
FAQ
What types of massage do you offer?
I offer a range of massage treatments, including sports massage, deep tissue, and relaxation massage. Each session is tailored to your needs—whether you need pain relief, recovery after exercise, or simply want to reduce stress.
What should I wear for my appointment?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. For massage, towels are provided for draping, and you’ll be covered appropriately at all times. For rehabilitation or exercise therapy sessions, wear activewear that allows you to move freely.
Can you help with post-surgery recovery?
Yes. I offer gentle, progressive rehabilitation programs to restore strength, mobility, and confidence after surgery. Each program is customised to your stage of healing and doctor’s recommendations.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your goals and condition. Some clients feel better after one or two sessions, while others benefit from ongoing treatment as part of a rehabilitation or maintenance plan. I’ll recommend a plan after your first appointment.
Do I need a doctor’s referral to see you?
No referral is required. You can book directly with me. If you’re recovering from surgery or have a complex condition, I may ask for relevant medical history or collaborate with your doctor or physiotherapist if needed.
How long is each session?
Most massage and therapy sessions are 45–60 minutes, but I also offer shorter targeted treatments or longer sessions when needed. We’ll discuss what’s best for your situation when booking.
Is massage therapy painful?
Some techniques, especially in sports or deep tissue massage, may feel intense in areas of tension, but it should never feel unbearable. I always work within your comfort level and adjust pressure based on your feedback.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a fee, as this time is reserved just for you.
